Sisterhood: Work
on various Sisterhood committees.
Finance Committee:
Develop budget and keep track of income and expenses; long term
planning; develop policy for investments, insurance, etc.
Ritual:
Defines parameters for observance, assists Rabbi at Services,
maintains prayer books and religious items. Needs knowledge of
Halachics and Hebrew. Organizes minyans when needed
Personnel:
Develops guidelines for personnel and reviews staff performance.
Hebrew School:
Oversees curriculum and policies
Buildings & grounds:
Routinely does a walkabout to make sure that everything is in
working order; deals with emergencies, finds competitive bids for
major repairs and service
Rebuild: Develops
and oversees the development of the new residence.
Future development:
Assess needs for upgrade of JCC building and develops capital
campaign and plans.
Bazaar: Oversees
the 2 annual bazaars; maintains vendor list and prepares the
grounds for the events, takes reservations, publicity, and manages
the days of the Bazaar.
Publicity:
Notifies local newspapers of events of interest, finds new ways of
getting the word out about activities and programs. The Bulletin
is always looking for articles. Photos for dissemination to
periodicals near and far =)
Membership:
Develops outreach to find new members and retain the current
membership
Social Action:
To find/develop activities in the community in which our
congregation can participate. Tikkun Olam.
Good and Welfare:
Hospital visitation, calls to infirm members, cards and gifts when
appropriate.
We
are open to new ideas and if you come up with one, you can chair
it…e.g. art shows, golf outings, dances, movies, book club.
